# Shared Budget

Use this skill when costs must be planned or divided across several people.

1. Confirm the currency, participants, spending limit, categories, known costs, estimates, and split rule.
2. Keep confirmed amounts separate from estimates and attach a source or assumption to each estimate.
3. Calculate category totals, contingency, overall total, and each person’s share with consistent rounding.
4. Compare only scenarios that help the group make a real decision.
5. Flag deposits, taxes, fees, due dates, refunds, and uneven participation that could change the split.
6. Create a downloadable spreadsheet with category, item, amount, status, payer, split rule, and amount owed, plus a concise PDF summary for the group.

Do not move money, request payment, or present an estimate as a confirmed charge.
